Did you know that the Ganges River is home to rare, friendly, and highly intelligent dolphins? The Gangetic Dolphin is India's National Aquatic Animal, locally loved as 'Soosoo' due to the sound it makes when breathing. These dolphins are completely blind because they live in muddy river waters. Instead of eyes, they use echo-location—sending sound waves and listening to the echo to see, navigate, and catch fish! Bihar's Vikramshila Dolphin Sanctuary in Bhagalpur is a protected home for them.
